Retirement Dinner-Save the Date: Retirement Dinner in honor of Pastor Randy and Gail, to be held at Noon Time, Sunday, Sept. 28th. We would like to put together a slide show of pictures sharing some memories of their time at Wichert. If you have any pictures of a special memory of Pastor Randy and Gail that you would like us to include, please email them to Linda Moore: dlmoore1989@yahoo.com. Thank You
Food Pantry. We had 25 families and 69 people at the food pantry on Saturday, Sept 6th. The St. Anne Food Pantry accepts any non-perishable food items. We can use the following: cookies, cake mix, Hamburger Helper, oatmeal, and tuna. Thanks for all your donations! Please place items on food cart in the Fellowship Hall by Friday, Sept.19th.
Consistory will meet this Tuesday, Sept 16th. If you are interested in joining church or requesting baptism, please talk to Pastor Knoll prior to the Elder’s meeting.
OCC Update:
Saturday, Oct. 18th (tentative) Final Work Day – to put together school kits and hygiene kits.
Saturday, Nov. 15th – Pack the Box Party at 6:30 PM
Youth Group Garage Sale: Youth Group Garage Sale is coming soon. The Sale will again be at the Schaafsma Pioneer building in Momence, on Sept. 26 and 27. Also, we are collecting newspaper for wrapping glass items…if you have any to share please place in the tote in the Fellowship Hall.

Old Hymnals: The old hymnals are now located on the bottom book shelf in the Lab. Please feel free to take as many copies as you wish. Thank You
Evangelism Station: Check out the new items in the Evangelism Station in the Narthex. There are options for children and adults. Please take and use any items as you share the Good News! Enjoy

Reminder: The King’s Daughters Bible Study will be meeting an hour earlier this week, Sept 16th at 6:00 PM.
Pumpkin Fest: The Pumpkin Fest parade is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 4th . We are planning to enter a float…we are in search of riders, walkers, candy, and spectators. More details to come…if you purchase candy there will be a box in the Fellowship Hall to store. This is always a nice event to share our love to the community. Thank You
Van Update: Getting ready to buy a new van. This project has been a success and we thank all for your donations.
Phil’s Friends: Sarah Cherry from Phil’s Friends was here last week to introduce us to the people that our Sunday School will be supporting. This organization assists people on their cancer journey.

Pumpkin Fest: Oct. 3 & 4
MESSIAH: Calling all singers! Illiana Oratorio Society will be starting rehearsals for its annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, Dec. 7. Prayerfully consider joining us as we bring glory to God through song. New singers, high school aged and above, are welcome-no audition required. Music is available to purchase at rehearsals. Rehearsals will be held each Monday evening starting on Oct. 6th from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm. Singers MUST attend the first or second rehearsal and miss no more than two rehearsals.
