Bible Study: At tomorrow’s Bible Study we look at the birth of two sons, Isaac and Esau and how the younger deceives the older. Join us at 10 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Study material should be available on the table in the Narthex.

Post High Group: Float Day Today! Come out to church today at 5PM and bring your creativity along. We will be working on our entry for this year’s Pumpkin Fest Parade float. Possible outings: Covered Bridge Festival at Bridgeton, IN, Friday, Oct. 9th (if necessary, a Rain Date of Wed., Oct. 14th.) This is an All Day Event – Not yet sure for time of departure.

Olivet Homecoming Concert – “Music from the American Songbook” on Sat., Oct 24th -at Olivet. Concert starts AT 7:30. Departure time from church is still to be determined. Cost of ticket is $10.00 per person

Report from Stand Up for Christ Ministry: A group of 7 worked very hard to help with the cleaning on Sat. Aug. 22nd. (This is a place to assist people who have been released from prison and need a place to stay.)

Nomination Letters: The letters have been mailed out addressing that the time is near for you to vote for those you wish to be on the Consistory. The letter explains in greater detail, ballots are also included in this letter. The ballot box is located in the Secretary’s office. Please cast your vote and place the ballots in the Ballot Box. Thank You

Illiana Oratorio Society: Illiana Oratorio Society will be starting rehearsals for its annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, Dec. 6th. New singers – high school aged and above are always welcome, no audition required. Music is available to purchase at rehearsals. Rehearsals will be held each Monday evening starting Oct 12 from 7:30 PM – 9:00PM at First Church (OPC) of South Holland, 16248 S. Park Ave. South Holland, Il.
